Loughwood Baptist Church/ Meeting House

One of the earliest surviving Baptist Churches in the UK, Loughwood is a 17th century thatched Baptist Meeting house, situated very close to what is now the A35 and now a part of the National Trust.

Set into the hillside and overlooking the rolling east Devon countryside, Loughwood was secretly founded during a time of great persecution of non-conformists.
